Which Auxiliary Machine Fits Your Process?

How Auxiliary Machines Fit Into a Line

  1. 01 Mixing and pre-drying Ahead of the extruder. Friction heat in a high speed mixer removes surface moisture, but it is not a substitute for a proper resin dryer on hygroscopic materials.
  2. 02 Squeezing and dewatering After washing, before pelletizing. This is where most of the residual water in film is actually removed, and it decides how hard the downstream extruder has to work.
  3. 03 Feeding and conveying Between stages. Usually supplied as part of the main line rather than as a separate purchase, which is why it does not appear as a product here.
  4. 04 Pelletizing support Densified film feeds far more consistently than loose flake. Feed instability, not extruder capacity, is the usual reason a pelletizing line misses its rated output.
  5. 05 Material upgrading After pelletizing. Solid state polymerization raises PET intrinsic viscosity so the pellet can go back into bottle or sheet rather than into fibre.

Plastic Auxiliary Equipment SUHUI Does Not Supply

Worth stating plainly, because buyers arrive at this page looking for equipment we do not build. Knowing that in the first minute is more useful than a quotation that arrives a week later.

  • Resin dryersA plastic dryer machine of the hopper or desiccant type is not part of our range. The high speed mixer removes surface moisture through friction heat, and washing lines have their own thermal drying stage, but neither replaces a dedicated dryer where PET or PLA needs one before extrusion.
  • Central conveying and feeding systemsVacuum loaders, silos and plant-wide material handling. Conveying between stages of a SUHUI line is included in that line, but plant-level systems are a separate trade.
  • Chillers and cooling water plantCooling water is required by almost every line we build and is normally sourced locally, since capacity depends on your ambient conditions and existing plant utilities.
  • Crushers, shredders and granulatorsThese are size reduction machines rather than auxiliaries, and we do build them. They sit in the crusher and shredder category rather than here.

If a supplier quotes you every auxiliary on the list without asking what your line does, the list is a price sheet rather than a recommendation. Send the main line specification and the symptom you are trying to fix, and expect to be told which items you can leave out.

Do I need a film squeezer if I already have a washing line?
Only if you pelletize afterwards. Washed film leaving a washing line is rarely dry enough or dense enough for an extruder to feed steadily, and the squeezer fixes both in one pass. If you sell washed flake rather than pellets, you do not need it. Size the squeezer from the pelletizer it has to feed, not from the washing line ahead of it.
Is a high speed mixer the same as a dryer?
No, and treating it as one is the most common mistake in this category. A high speed mixer generates friction heat that removes moisture sitting on the surface of the resin, which is enough for PVC compounding. It cannot remove moisture absorbed into the polymer itself, which is what hygroscopic materials such as PET and PLA carry and what a desiccant dryer exists to handle.
When is PET solid state polymerization worth the investment?
Only when a customer pays a premium for the higher grade. Solid state polymerization raises the intrinsic viscosity of recycled PET so it can go back into bottle or sheet rather than fibre and strapping. It is a significant capital item, so the decision is commercial rather than technical: confirm the offtake price for bottle-grade rPET before specifying the system.
