A standalone hot mixer heats and blends the material using high-speed impeller friction but does not cool the output. A hot/cold combination system pairs the hot mixer with a cooling mixer that rapidly reduces material temperature after blending, preventing agglomeration and preparing the compound for immediate feeding into extruders or pelletizers without additional cooling time.
The high-speed rotating impeller generates intense friction and shear force that simultaneously heats and blends materials. This friction-induced heating replaces external heat sources for most applications, while the high shear force ensures thorough, uniform distribution of additives, colorants, and fillers throughout the base material in a fraction of the time required by conventional paddle or ribbon mixers.
Material discharge is controlled automatically by the PLC system based on temperature setpoints. When the mixed material reaches the target temperature, the control system triggers automatic opening of the pneumatic discharge valve, transferring the blended compound to the cooling mixer or downstream equipment. This automatic temperature-based discharge control prevents overheating and material degradation.
All material-contact surfaces of the SUHUI high speed mixer are made from polished 304 stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance and hygienic operation. The stainless steel construction is suitable for both plastic compound production and food-grade powder blending applications. The smooth polished interior minimizes material adhesion and simplifies cleaning between production runs.
