Process Steps and Components

Material Feeding and Pre-Sorting

Conveyor Belt: Transports raw film into the line.
Manual/Auto Sorting Station: Removes non-plastic debris (e.g., metals, paper) via magnets or optical sorters.

Shredding/Granulating

Shredder/Granulator: Cuts films into 10-20mm flakes, preventing tangling and easing downstream processing.

Pre-Washing

Hot Wash Tank: Softens films using heated water (optional) and removes loose dirt/sand via agitation.

Friction Washing

Friction Washer: High-speed rotors scrub flakes, dislodging adhesives, inks, and embedded contaminants. Detergents may enhance cleaning.

Density Separation

Float-Sink Tank: Separates PP from PE using water or saline solutions. Light materials float; heavy sink.

Rinsing

Rinse Tank: Removes residual detergent and contaminants with clean water.

Dewatering

Centrifugal Dryer: Spins flakes at high speed to remove 90%+ moisture.

Thermal Drying

Hot Air Dryer: Reduces moisture to <1% for pelletizing or storage.

Pelletizing (Optional)

Extruder: Melts flakes into uniform pellets for ease of reuse in manufacturing.

Water Treatment
