The SUHUI jumbo bag shredder is a specialized industrial machine designed to process large Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBCs) — commonly known as jumbo bags, bulk bags, or ton bags — made from woven polypropylene (PP). These heavy-duty bags are widely used in chemicals, agriculture, construction, and food processing for transporting bulk powders, granules, and pellets.

Empty or residue-contaminated jumbo bags present a unique shredding challenge due to their tough woven fabric structure and tendency to wrap around standard rotor blades. SUHUI’s anti-winding rotor design and reinforced cutting system address this directly, ensuring consistent shredding without jamming or material tangling.

The shredded PP strips and flakes produced are clean, uniform, and suitable for direct feeding into a plastic washing line or granulator for recycling into reusable PP pellets — supporting a complete closed-loop recycling process.

How the Jumbo Bag Shredder Works

1. Bag Loading: Whole jumbo bags — empty or with residual contents — are placed into the wide feed hopper via forklift or conveyor without any pre-cutting.
2. Anti-Winding Pre-Shredding: The specially designed rotor grips the woven fabric and pulls it into the cutting zone, using anti-winding geometry to prevent the bag from wrapping around the shaft.
3. Shredding: Rotating blades cut the woven PP material against fixed counter-blades, reducing the bag into strips and flakes in successive passes through the cutting chamber.
4. Screen Sizing: Shredded fragments circulate in the cutting chamber until they are small enough to pass through the bottom screen at the target output size.
5. Discharge & Recycling: Sized PP strips and flakes are discharged and conveyed directly to a washing line or granulator for cleaning and pelletizing into recycled PP resin.
