How the Single Shaft Shredder Works

- Rotor Engagement: The high-speed rotor grabs and pulls material into the cutting zone, where rotating blades impact and shear the plastic against fixed counter-blades.
- Continuous Size Reduction: Material is repeatedly cut as it circulates within the cutting chamber, progressively reducing in size with each pass through the blade zone.
- Screen Sizing: Once fragments are small enough to pass through the perforated screen basket at the base of the chamber, they exit as sized output particles.
- Discharge & Conveying: Shredded plastic fragments discharge through the outlet and are conveyed to the next processing stage — typically a granulator, washing line, or collection silo.
