Product Description

The SUHUI PVC pipe extrusion line is a fully automated manufacturing system designed for producing rigid PVC pipes used in water supply, drainage, sewage, irrigation, electrical conduit, and industrial pipeline applications. The line combines twin-screw extrusion technology with precision vacuum calibration and multi-stage cooling to ensure consistent wall thickness, dimensional accuracy, and smooth inner and outer surfaces.

Supporting pipe diameters from Φ16 mm to Φ800 mm across single, dual, and four-cavity die configurations, the SUHUI PVC pipe line covers the full range from small-diameter conduit to large-diameter drainage and sewage pipes. All configurations comply with international standards including ISO 4422, EN 1401, and ASTM D1785.

The system’s twin-screw extruder (SJZ series) provides superior PVC plasticizing performance, while the modular line design supports recycled PVC content integration and quick die changeover for different pipe specifications.

  • Conical Twin-Screw Extruder (SJZ Series): Purpose-built for PVC processing, the conical twin-screw design provides excellent plasticizing, homogenization, and output stability without thermal degradation.
  • Multi-Cavity Die Configurations: Supports single, dual, and four-cavity die heads for simultaneous production of multiple pipes, significantly increasing output per line.
  • High-Precision Vacuum Calibration: Vacuum calibration sleeves fix outer diameter and wall thickness immediately after the die, ensuring consistent pipe geometry across all sizes.
  • Multi-Stage Water Cooling: Spray or immersion cooling tanks rapidly solidify the pipe and prevent dimensional variation, warping, or internal stress.
  • Servo-Driven Haul-Off: Caterpillar puller with servo motor control maintains precise, consistent pulling force to ensure uniform wall thickness throughout production.
  • Automatic Cutting System: Planetary saw or guillotine cutter precisely cuts pipes to the specified length without stopping line production.
  • HMI Touchscreen Control: Full line monitoring and parameter adjustment via PLC-based HMI, with recipe storage for fast product changeover.
  • Energy-Efficient Heating Zones: Insulated barrel and die heating with optimized energy recovery reduce power consumption during continuous operation.

PVC Pipe Extrusion Process Workflow

  1. Material Mixing: PVC resin is blended with stabilizers, lubricants, impact modifiers, and fillers in a high speed mixer to produce a homogeneous dry blend compound ready for extrusion.
  2. Feeding: The PVC compound is fed into the conical twin-screw extruder hopper via an automated feeding system for consistent, controlled material flow.
  3. Extrusion & Die Forming: The twin-screw extruder melts and homogenizes the PVC compound under precisely controlled multi-zone temperature settings, then forces the melt through the pipe die head to form a continuous pipe profile.
  4. Vacuum Calibration: The freshly extruded pipe enters a vacuum calibration sleeve that applies negative pressure to hold the pipe against the sizing tool, fixing the outer diameter and wall uniformity.
  5. Cooling: The calibrated pipe passes through a series of water spray or immersion cooling tanks to fully solidify the material and eliminate internal stress.
  6. Haul-Off: A servo-driven caterpillar haul-off unit grips and pulls the pipe through the line at a precise, consistent speed to maintain wall thickness uniformity.
  7. Cutting: An automatic planetary saw or guillotine cutter, triggered by a length encoder, cuts pipes to the specified length with clean, burr-free ends.
  8. Inspection & Packaging: Finished PVC pipes are checked for diameter, wall thickness, and surface quality, then stacked, bundled, or stored for shipment.
